ANXIETY

Anxiety can make you think all of the "what ifs" and scenarios that have not happened yet. Anxiety does not have to be a negative experience. It is a feeling and it is there for a reason, together we can find how anxiety can play a positive role in your life and even be beneficial. I have worked with teens and adults to help manage their anxiety and learn coping skills to feel a more effortless and easy day to day living.

SELF-ESTEEM

Improving self-esteem comes along with creating a healthy and supportive environment, using positive supportive self-talk, and treating yourself with love and compassion. This can be learned and practiced in sessions to feel like a more confident and empowered version of yourself.

LIFE TRANSITIONS

Change is constant and sometimes adjusting may take more time then expected. Wherever you may be in your life, we can slow down the pace in session and work through all those emotions and thoughts.

RELATIONSHIPS

I have worked with many couples to gain insight, resolve conflict, and improve the health of their relationship. You will be greeted by warmth and acceptance as we work though challenging conflicts, new perspectives, increased awareness, and resources to feel better equipped to face future challenges.

TECHNIQUES I USE

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT)

I choose to focus on challenging your automatic thoughts, behaviors and emotions by using coping skills and strategies that you can practice in session and use on your own. I want you to leave session feeling that you have a toolbox full of strategies and coping skills that have been tailored to fit your needs. You will learn to identify pattens in your life, explore the role it is playing, and how it can be worked through.

EMOTIONALLY FOCUSED THERAPY

Emotions can be scary and you may not always want to face them,  you can experience a wide range of health emotions and learn how to express them in a way that is positive and can even feel good. The goal is to increase your awareness of your emotions and how to regulate yourself when feeling overwhelmed or stressed.

SOLUTION FOCUSED THERAPY

Small steps lead to big changes. If you want to find solutions to some of your challenges this can be the perfect fit for you. This therapy focus on the future and what you are hoping to accomplish. I will encourage you to focus on what is changeable and attainable instead of allowing the size and complexity of the problem  disempower you.
